Google trends is a fun little tool which lets you put in a search term and find out which countries and cities in the world(and in which language) are searching for that term the most. I thought I would put some music searches in there just to see what came up

The Power of a Great Soundtrack
July 29, 2008 · Leave a Comment
The power of a great sound track cannot be underestimated; it is these soundtracks which stay in our memories with iconic movie scenes. A great sound track can make an average movie better, and in the same token a bad soundtrack can make a good movie forgettable.
This week i watched a relatively unknown sci-fi movie called Code 46 staring Tim Robins and Samantha Morton. The movie itself was reasonably enjoyable, but what made it stick in my mind was the soundtrack. The movie had hauntingly beautiful music which portrayed the emotions of the scenes and the harshness of the landscapes, the people, and the reality of life in the future. At one point in the film there is a sequence of scenes set to Warning Sign By Coldplay. I don’t mind coldplay but i am by no means a huge fan of theirs; however that song, in that scene was just utterly perfect. Not only did it make me love the movie more and feel very real empathy for the characters in the scene, but it made me love the song. Video for the song below
This got me thinking about my favourite movie soundtracks……

A bit late to the scene: Justice – †
July 23, 2008 · Leave a Comment
Sometimes there are just bands for some reason or another you miss, or maybe you don’t miss them but you don’t pay much attention to them when you first hear their name or the bar of one of their songs. Maybe its because you are immersed in a different genre at the time or maybe you are too busy with your summer romance; either way sometimes we are all a bit late to pick up on some artists. Justice is one of those which passed me by when my love of electronic music was in its slightly softer more house-leaning stages.
