Voting for the influential, annual, 100% publically voted DJ Mag top 100 DJ poll for 2008 is open! This poll is the premium title for DJs as it is 100% voted by us, the music lovers out there.
Current holder is Armin van Buuren and like other DJs who have won the much sought after title he has said it was one of his career highlights – in an interview (found here) he says:
“this is great, it’s always been a dream of mine, achieving this, but it was never the goal, just a dream that I’ve always had. It’s so special because it’s an award voted on by clubbers, not some judges in the industry or something, just people from all over the world who listen to the music and love it. This is such an honor, to be honest, and I’m telling you this straight from my heart, it hasn’t even set in yet, this idea that I’m number 1, I’m just really honored”
So music lovers get out there (well actually you vote from your computer so you don’t have to go anywhere) and reward your favourite DJ by voting for them. You are allowed to vote for 5 DJs in order of your favourite with 1st=5points, 2nd=4points etc.
DJ mag are also awesomely giving away a free digital copy of the new August issue and a free download from Trackitdown.com to every single voter! (only one vote per IP address though, so no cheating now)
